this paper mainly discuss what makes people good or bad language learners.the factors that contribute to individual differences are usually divided into three broad categories:the first categories are called cognitive which means the mental make up of the person.the second categories are called affective which means feeling.the third categories we shall called are personality variables.all of these factors are important for foreign language learners.in the learning process,we should know which character we have and which character we lack. we can compensate for these important characters we are lacking. so we can master a foreign languange successfully.
