这两句话的差别就在于mother那里,第一个是mother's后面就没有了,其实是省略了一个单词friends.第一句话应该是Miss Smith is a friend of Mary's mother's friends.这下你就明白了吧,表示mary 的妈妈有很多朋友.smith是其中的一个.而第二个只有mother那么意思就是smith是marry妈妈的一个朋友.至于是不是唯一的一个这个并不清楚,但是我们知道smith是一个朋友.两句话的翻译也不一样.第一句翻译为smith是marry妈妈朋友中的一个,第二句是smith是marry妈妈的一个朋友.
