The film's leading character,San Diego,illegal immigrant from Mexico,is a guy that keeps enthusiathic about football ,even though he does petty and low labour with his father in LA.Finally,with the help of an retired football player,he got the chance to a trial in New Castle,a football team from FA Premier League.As a saying goes ,no pains ,no gains.Many times he felt like giving up at the face of many failures,however,thanks to the favour some kind guys did,he carried on and kept pursuing his dream,and finally showed his skills in the field.Conventional as the plot is ,the film described detailed stuff outside and inside the matches,incisively and vividly .For example ,San Diego was in bad condition in a trial,owing to lots of
disadvantages.Moreover,the craziness of the fans,and how depraved a life the players led,was also revealed one by one.As well as describing San Diego's pursuit of dreams,the film also reveals the crulty of competing sports,such as the old player who ended his career because of injury,and the poor guy who had a trial together with San Diego.
The film's leading clue appears so wonderful,that San Diego rose in lasting setbacks,which makes the audience cheer up.However,the secondary clue about a football star ,Harris,is wonderful ,too.It described Harris' rise and fall to reveal how a star in bad condition found back his talent.Meanwhile,it reveals how successful player didn't treasure himself and led a depraved life in another aspect.When the clues of San Diego and Harris merged together,the two felt so right and did each other a favour ,and finally went to the top together.
