Thank you for your quotation of March 12th,2003 and your samples.We really appreciate your sincerity and cooperation in this respect.
We immediately contacted our customers and they were quite satisfied with the quality and designs of your blankets.However,they said the prices you quoted were too much high.You know here price always counts much.What's more,one of our customers told us that they would possibly order more than ten thousand pieces of the goods,provided that you can reduce your price by 10% on CIFC3 basis,i.e.USD6.30,USD6.53,USD7.12 & USD7.83 respectively.They are one of the leading importers in our country so there is a good chance of finalizing an order with them.We hope you will take advantage of this chance so that you will benefit from the expanding market.
In addition,we would suggest an alteration of your payment terms.Our past purchases from you have been paid as a rule by irrevocable sight L/C.On this basis,it has indeed cost us a great deal.From the moment to open credit till the time our buyers pay us,the tie-up of our funds lasts about three months.Now this problem is particularly taxing owing to the tight money condition and unprecedentedly high bank interest.We believe as your production capacity grows you can do business more flexibly just as you said in your previous letters.We suppose you accept D/P at sight.
