An occasion of being Late
It happened in my senior year in high school.I was late for a basketball match.
I was on the school basketball team and we would have a competition with another school in November every year.In my last year of high school,I really looked forward to it because it would be my last opportunity to play for my school.
My father was driving me to school that day and it seemed that we had plenty of time.However,a bad accident happened on the way,so we were stuck in the traffic jam.We waited for more than twenty minutes,but there was no sign that the cars were moving.Since it was not too far away from school,I got off the car and ran to school.
By the time I got there,I was twenty minutes late already.The game had started without me.I begged the judge to let me play,but he said it wasn’t allowed.So the only thing I could do was to stay there and watch.I couldn’t believe that this happened to me.I should have set out earlier.
After this experience,whenever I have something important,I will always arrive early and always wear a watch to remind myself not to be late again.
