高中英语语法填空
1.He______(pretend) that a tiger toy was real and giving it a voice.
2.After a four-day journey,the young man______(present) the water to the old man.
第一题的答案是：was pretending 第二题是：presented
这两题在不同的文章中,做第一题时,我当时雨填的是pretended,错了
后来做第二题时,受第一题的影响,我填了was presenting,当然,也错了.
我现在就是有点糊涂了,有是看到括号中的动词时,知道整篇文章用的是过去时态,但我却不知道到底是用was+v.ing 还是 v+ed,现在都乱了.
以上两题分别来处11年和10年的广东语法填空题.
其实我现在想找出的不仅仅是这两题的方法,各重要的是我自己到底缺什么知识,发现自己的英语很不扎实啊,

第一题注意句子结构
and giving 与谁并列?
与 pretend并列这是并列的两个现在分词
所以原句是 He was pretending xxx and giving it a voice
第二题是对发生在过去事情的叙述应该用一般过去时
注意一般说来一般过去时是最常用的时态也较少出现语法问题
第一句如果没有后面的 and giving 完全可以用一般过去时
而过去进行时一般是不能单独存在的除非有特殊的含义
它必须与特定的具体时间连用或用在含时间状语从句的复合中或并列句中
如 when he came in ,i was reading.
while i was reading ,he came in.
i was walking in the street when i saw a friend of mine.
