关于泰国的travel plan
10 days is not a lot of time to try and cover the amount of things you
have on your list - I think you will end up finding that you spent a lot
of your vacation on trains/buses/etc. and not so much relaxing and/or
experiencing the culture.
For example, stopping in Sukhothai - this is a great site to visit in Thailand,
but really needs at least a day to do any justice to it, so do you take
that day out of your CM time, or out of your beach time?
If you are going to go to Chiang Mai
the same thinking applies - a couple of days will barely scratch the
surface. You will be far better off I think by confining your trip into
only 2 places - for example 1/2 the time in the north and 1/2 the time
in the south and then probably trying to find some good deals on cheap
flights between spots vs using a bunch of your precious time working
around the train schedule.
The train can be a good way to save a few $$s and an interesting
experience but working around the schedule is just going to cost you
time.
As an aside you can't take the train to Krabi,
the closest it gets is Surat Thani and then you would need to go
overland by bus/minivan/etc. to get to Krabi. Just getting from Surat
Thani to Phi Phi for example will take you the better part of the day
assuming you can co-ordinate all of that to hit the ferry on time (the
ferry form Krabi to Phi Phi only goes 2x per day).
