After all dimensions have been calculated,the
design would then be simulated in Microwave Office
2006 software to obtain the return loss,radiation
pattern,and VWSR.The resonant frequency was 2.4
GHz with return loss of -16.29 dB and VSWR of
1.366.The simulation result of radiation pattern for
single patch antenna is also shown in Fig.9.
The simulation results for 45º polarization 1x2 array
antennas were 1.376 and -18.16 dB for VSWR and
return loss respectively.While,the simulation result
for -45 º polarizations 1x2 array antennas were 1.370
and -17.57 dB.All simulation data are tabulated in
Table 2.Fig.10 shows that the combination results of
45º and -45º polarization 1x2 array antennas.Fig.11
shows the radiation pattern for 45º and -45º
polarizations 1x2 array antenna.
The result of HPBW (Half Power Bandwidth) is
obtained by taking the value -3dB from maximum
point at radiation pattern.The value of HPBW for 45°
and -45° polarized single element found at,90.07°-
89.75°.HPBW for array antenna found at 84.68°-
79.05°.The 3 dB beamwidth is twice the angle with
respect to the angle of the maximum directivity,where
this directivity has rolled off 3 dB with respect to the
maximum directivity.
