1.Introduction
Organic insulation materials are widely used in buildinginsulation system because of its excellent integrated performance.However,thebiggest shortcoming of these materials is flamma-bility.With the increasingapplication of these materials,more and more fires were caused,resulting ingreat economic and life loss,even serious social impact.The big fire occurredat China Central Television (CCTV) new site building,in February 9,2009,leaded to direct economic losses of 163.83 million RMB,due to the employ- mentof extruded polystyrene (XPS) as the building external wall insulationmaterial.Soon after that,in November 2010,another big fire at residentialhigh-rise in Shanghai Jing’an district caused 58 people killed and more than 70people injured.The investigations to these fire disasters showed thatcombustion caused by organic insulation material could quickly spread from thefire origin to the entire building.As a consequence,the degradation behaviorand products of such materials are thus significant to be studied.

众多的研究者对各种聚合物的热降解进行了大量研究.这些研究结果表明,热降解始终是固体燃烧过程的初始步骤,然后释放出可燃性挥发物助燃.这项工作的目的是研究热降解特性和保温材料PU、 XPS和EPS的挥发性产物.
