在北国荒原夜遇饥饿眼睛闪着凶残的青光的狼群,狼群见六只雪橇犬全部是公的,便派了一只不是纯种狼和人类生活过的“母狼”前去引诱,六只雪橇犬不知有诈上当受骗没有一只生还,后来只剩下了亨利一人,偶遇自己的朋友,把亨利解救了出来.几天后,与“母狼”生活在一起的老狼生了五只“狼崽”,只有一只名叫白牙的灰白“狼崽”躲过了饥饿灾难,而老狼出去时被山猫咬死,母狼带着白牙回到了人们那里,人们发现“母狼”正是那只逃跑的狗——基切.
