From their perspective, the entire home-buying experience can be
confusing or downright intimidating. If you add in the current
perception of high interest rates, the result is a significant
number of fearful first-time borrowers who may be considering
backing away from the home-buying market. That's an entire
segment of prospective borrowers who are increasingly more
reluctant to plunge into homeownership and a mortgage commitment
in this environment. They have simply decided to lie back and
wait for everything to get better or easier or less expensive.
Just think--if you change those perceptions and eliminate the
fears,your mortgage loan traffic would increase and your bottom
line would definitely benefit. But how do you reach these first-
time buyers? What approach do you take to convince them to get
their feet wet and enter the home-buying market now instead of
waiting ? First and foremost, you need to present yourself as the
answer to their problem--the lender who is prepared to help them
through the maze--and easiest way to do that is to have a
provocative, targeted marketing effort working for you.
