I have a son at your son's age.As my experience.the most important thing is to enhance his interests in English.For example,take a walk every day after dinner,start conversation with him in English in most natural way by asking what he did in the class and what he ate and so on.Before talking,you have to review the text book he is learning,then use the words he learn or he will learn in school.Sometimes you can read some english fairy tales with your son,he can learn some interesting stories while learning some english new words.In this way I am sure he will improve his english quickly and steadily.
