With the rapid advances in the living standard of the Chinese people in recent years, there has beeen a fast development in transportation. However,the increasing cars and busy traffic have become a huge problem to our cities.Serious environmental pollution has been caused,and people are gradually getting used to traffic jams.
Toxic gases,screaming trumpets,the shortage of parking lots…these things fill our lives!I believe we ARE(重读) trapped in a dilemma---what do we choose, convinience or a peaceful living enviroment?
For most people,buying a car may be one of their biggest dreams,and going to work or school in a car will make them feel quite happy and satisfied.But I(重读) think,traffic is not an individual issue.It is a issue we should discuss together.And, obviously,to realize our goal of sustainable development,we should limit the car use.
I hear that more and more cities of our country are joining a campaign named ”NO CAR DAY”,which advocates that people do not use cars on this day.I think it’s a good step that we take in controlling the traffic problem and provide ourselves a better chance to find other ways to improve our traffic condition,such as developing high-technique cars.
