A: hey, are you all right? you seem to be bothered by something.
B: well, I am ok. just...maybe i need some suggestion.
A: what? tell me.
B: Last week, Mary borrowed 100 yuan from me. it seems that she has totally forgotten about it. i dont know what to do.
A: why dont you just remind her?
B: how?
A: ask her 'hey, mary, do you remember you borrowed my money last week?'
B: no. i cannot do that. it is too embarrassing. besides, she would be annoyed.
A: let me think...maybe next time when you guys shop together, you can borrow money from her.
B: maybe i should do that. but i feel uncomfortable, as if i am lying or something...
A: yeah. and you would also put her in similiar difficult situation by doing that. she would be hesitating about what to do-to ask you to return the money or just let it go.
B: ok, i 've made up my mind. i will just tell her i am really short of money now and ask her to return it.
A: good for you. i am sure she will not be annoyed.
