历史是前进发展的,残毁的城垣告诉我们,那个强大的帝国已经逝去,昔日的辉煌,都已成为历史,给我们留下的是对它依稀的记忆和此时繁花夺目的城市公园.行走在元大都城垣遗址公园里,历史的沧桑与浓郁的生活气息并存,文化的体验与优美的生态环境并存,开放与内敛,自然与人文毫不冲突,这都要归功于公园独创的景观设计.根据元大都城垣“树木葱茏,呜禽四翔,富有郊野风光”的历史记载,全园绿化布局呈现恢弘、大气、粗犷的气势,植物种植采用大手笔的做法,多种树、种大树,尽量保留原有树木.选择“春花、秋色、夏湿地”的特色树种.“春花”是以元大都城垣遗址公园的特色树种海棠花为主,间种榆叶梅、山桃花、杏花、樱花、碧桃等春花树种；“秋色”是在常绿树的基础上,种植大量黄栌、银杏、水杉等彩叶树种,形成富有北方特色的园林自然景观；“夏湿地”是在公园东端、城市轻轨与土城护城河斜交、形似龙头的一块三角地,建成占地1.5多公顷、具有郊野风光的自然野趣湿地园,也就是我们刚参观的龙泽鱼跃景区.

History is a process of continuous advance.Broken city walls tell us that the powerful empire has already gone and that those glory days would never come back.What history remains to us are vague memory of its past and a whole new city park with pretty flowers.Walking in Yuandadu Historical Park,you will find that historical vicissitudes and strong feeling of life go together; cultural experiences and beautiful ecological environment go together; openness and inwardness,nature and humanity are not contradicted.All these above are attributed to its unique design of landscape.Based on historical records of Yuandadu City Walls,landscaping of the park is designed to be grand and rough.Plants are mostly reserved.There are special plants that have flowers blossomed in spring and colorful leaves in autumn.Spring flowers are mostly Chinese flowering crab-apple,planted with Prunus triloba,peach blossom,Prunus,cherry blossom,Prunus Persica and so on.In the park,trees that have multicolor leaves such as Common Smoketree,Ginko and Metasequoia are largely planted,which forms natural scenery with rich norther features.Located in the east part of the park ,there is a triangular land.It covers more than 1.5 hectares.It is a natural wetland park that we have just visited.
