An old friend of mine telephoned from the railway station to tell me that he had come from Canada and was going to stay with me.I was still at the office at the time.So after telling him where my new house was .I told him that I had left my key under the doormat.As I would be home very late,I told him to help himself to food and drink.Two hours later my friend telephoned me.At the moment,he said he was watching TV after he had a wonderful meal.He had cooked two eggs and had helped himself to some cold chicken from the fridge.Now,he said he was drinking a glass of tea and hoped I would join him soon.When I asked him if he had reached the house without trouble.He answered that he had not been able to find the key under the doormat.but the living room window just by the apple tree had been left open and he had climbed in.I listened to all these with great surprise .There is no apple tree in front of my room,but there is one in front of the room next to ours.

我的一个老朋友从火车站打电话给我说他从加拿大回来了,而且打算和我待在一起生活.我那个时候还在上班,所以在告诉他我的新房子在哪里后,我又叮嘱他说我把钥匙放在门垫下面.因为我会很迟才回家,我让他自己找点吃的和喝的.两小时后我的朋友打电话给我.当时他跟我说他在享受完一顿美好的晚饭后正在看电视.我煮了两个鸡蛋,还从冰箱里拿了些冻的鸡肉.现在他说他正在喝茶,希望我可以快些和他一起.当我问他是不是顺利到家时,他说他没有找到门垫下的钥匙,但是客厅的窗户开着,就在苹果树旁边,他就爬了进来.我听到这些十分惊讶.我的房间前面并没有苹果树.但是我的邻居门前有一棵.
