这首诗的名字不叫"The Rain it Raineth Every Day",它出自Shakespeare剧本“Twelfth Night”第五幕小丑的唱段.这段唱完后整个剧就结束了.所以这一段文字并无题目,被引用时多用第一句“When that I was and a little tiny boy”做题目.
其实这段唱词并没有什么太多的寓意,是一场喜剧结束前小丑的“结束唱段”(closing song),有点象中国的剧里结束前最后来一段“警世恒言”,只不过莎士比亚用的是逗乐性的.
