There lived a dog and a cock on afarmyard, which were very good friends. One day, the dog and the cock decidedthat they would want to see the world beyond the farmyard®. They said goodbyeto their friends on the farmyard and began their journey. Soon, it wasnightfall®, and the cock began to look for a place to sleep. It found a hollowtree® that he thought would be a good place to rest for the night. He could flyup on one of the branches while the dog could stay inside the tree. The dogagreed that the hollow tree was a fine resting place, and soon, they wereasleep.
Dawn came and the cock awoke.Thinking that he was still in the farmyard, the cock began to crow®. The cock'scrowing caught the attention of a fox in the woods, which immediately rushed tothe hollow tree.
