Personally,I' m against the trend and hold the ground that campuses should not be open to tourists.The reasons are as follows.

growing与arisen有点重复,这个趋势现在还在持续,不应该用完成时,后面thus making,个人觉得改成非限定性定语从句which makes比较好,因为主语是前面整句话.

hold the ground作为一个短语,ground具有引申意思,而后面又接了个同位语从句,有点不太合适,个人觉得改成view,opinion或perspective比较好.open形容词意思是开着的状态,而这里所表达的意思是开放,应该用被动opened.
