一只小猪、一只绵羊和一头乳牛,被关在同一个畜栏里.有一次,牧人捉住小猪,他大声号叫,猛烈地抗拒.绵羊和乳牛讨厌它的号叫,便说：“他常常捉我们,我们并不大呼小叫.”小猪听了回答道：“捉你们和捉我完全是两回事,他捉你们,只是要你们的毛和乳汁,但是捉住我,却是要我的命呢!”立场不同、所处环境不同的人,很难了解对方的感受；因此对别人的失意、挫折、伤痛 ,不宜幸灾乐祸,而应要有关怀、了解的心情.要有宽容的心!
此外,这还有关于“宽容”的另外一个故事.
相传古代有位老禅师,一日晚在禅院里散步,突见墙角边有一张椅子,他一看便知有位出家人违犯寺规越墙出去溜达了.老禅师也不声张,走到墙边,移开椅子,就地而蹲.少顷,果真有一小和尚翻墙,黑暗中踩着老禅师的背脊跳进了院子.
当他双脚着地时,才发觉刚才踏的不是椅子,而是自己的师傅.小和尚顿时惊慌失措,张口结舌.但出乎小和尚意料的是,师傅并没有厉声责备他,只是以平静的语调说:”夜深天凉,快去多穿一件衣服.”
我们可以想像听到老禅师此话后,他的徒弟的心情,在这种宽容的无声的教育中,徒弟不是被他的错误惩罚了,而是被教育了.

Besides,there is also a story about”Tolerant”.
Long long ago ,there is a old Zen master,on a evening he takes a walk in the zen temple,seeing a chair nearby the corner of the wall suddenly,as soon as he knew there must a Buddhist monk violated the temple gauge to go over the wall takes a stroll.The old Zen master does not disclose,arrives nearby the wall,puts aside the chair,squats.After a little while,a lesser monk really will turn the wall,in darkness,he steps on the old Zen master's back to jump in the courtyard.
When his both feet is well-grounded,only then detected trod was not the chair a moment ago,but was own skilled worker.The lesser monk is panic-stricken immediately,is at a loss for words.But unexpectedly,old Zen master has not blamed him,only said by the tranquil intonation:” A night of deep day is cool,quickly puts much clothes on.”
After heart old Zen master's speech ,his apprentice's mood,in this kind of tolerant silent education,the apprentice was not has been punished by his mistake,but was educated.
