He Belongs to the River with His Mother
One morning I was walking on the grass by a river when I found a strange egg.It was much bigger than a hen's.“Why don't I give it an artificial incubation?”I thought as I picked it up.I took it home and put it under a lamp with the light on in my bedroom.Eery day I watched it carefully but it seemed there was nothing different.Then one Sunday afternoon I was doing my homework when a noise came out of the egg.To my great surprise,the egg broke and something appeared.He was a baby crocodile!“Baby crocodile!”He excited me so much that I couldn't help shouting.“I must find him a place to live in.”I said to myself.I put him in a cage carefully and fed him on all kinds of food every day.Hower,he seemed unhappy and ate less.“I am so kind to the bady crocodile,but why isn't he happy?”I thought hard for some days.Then one day an idea occured to me.“He should belong to the river together with his mother.”I rushed towards the river with the baby crocodile in my arm.I let him go the moment we got there.The baby crocodile swam away from my arm happily with a smile.
