While cell phones have been increasingly popular among the students, concerns over whatever the students are allowed to use their cell phones also arose. Three distinctive groups, the student, the parents, and the teachers all have their own different opinion on the matter. While the school is formulating rules that regulate cell phone usage, it would be wise to listen to what those special-interest groups would say.
The students are active supporter of cell phone usage in school. When asking their evidences support their arguments, they generally points out the fact cell phone had made their lives easier. Today's cell phones have many added features on them, for example, text messaging, photo taking, video capturing Those features had helped the students in many ways, and had been part of their life. Text messaging, for example, had made homework less difficult to complete: Don't know how to tackle one question? Just text to your friend and within seconds they will reach you will complete solution to the question. Being able to take picture makes lecture notes less tedious, while being able to capture movie any time enables students to save their brightest moment in life possible. Having such many conveniences, no doubt students love their cell phone so much.
While students generally support cell phones, but their parents have some concerns. When asking their opinion, they generally focus on the possibility that cell phone might disrupt studying, which should be the only focus of the students. Some parents complained that technology had advanced too much and made their children's lives too joyful to focus on studying. Having so much entertaining features on them, cell phones are seemed as a game machines rather than a tool of communication, in some of the parents' eyes. They argue, once students are exposed to cell phones, they would be addicted to them and forgot about studying completely. To avoid such problem, parents agreed the ban of cell phones.
