消费行为是人类赖以生存、发展的社会活动，是社会、历史、生产发展的重要前提。农村贫困大学生作为社会消费群体的重要组成部分，他们的消费行为具有强烈的代表性和前瞻性，事关国家的命运和前途。因此，关注并研究农村贫困大学生的消费行为，找出其中不合理的因素及其诱因，通过社会——家庭——学校的立体化教育引导农村贫困大学生健康消费，对促进大学生全面发展和社会进步有着十分重要的理论价值和实际意义。
本文是从消费行为研究的基础理论入手，在XXX大学进行问卷调查，运用SPSS12软件对数据进行统计分析。以马斯洛需求理论、可持续消费理论等为基础，对农村贫困大学生的消费行为进行分类描述，概括当前农村贫困大学生消费行为的现状，得出当前农村贫困大学生消费行为中存在的主要问题，从社会、家庭、学校、大学生本身四个方面分析了农村贫困大学生消费行为产生问题的原因，最后，基于实证数据，提出了解决农村贫困大学生消费问题的政策干预策略。认为应建立和完善助学贷款制度，为农村贫困大学生选择高等教育提供均等的机会；动员各方面力量，积极扩大贫困生资助经费的多渠道筹措机制；政府、高校、社会各界人士不仅应该在财政上对社会弱势群体予以支持，而且应该在贫困生心理发展、生存状态及就业方面给予更多关注；把勤工俭学作为对贫困生资助的一个重要方式；加强制度创新，如建设新课体系，延伸“两课”教育，把消费道德教育纳入学校德育体系中、加强学校规章制度建设，规范大学生的消费行为等。
