The playbook is about conflict among Vikings.
Characters in Order of Appearance:
Narrator,Chieftain,Attendant,Young Girl
ACT 1.
Narrator:This play is “battle and peace”,a story about Viking who are greedy and play hard.This will show you the dark side of humanity.And it will show you the essence of humanity.
The Viking age began about 1200 years ago in the 8th century.They raid lands,stole treasure and took people as slaves.So it is no wander that it is a special period full of conquest and surrender,plunder and bondage,rapacity and hatred.And battle always appear accompanied with peace.
This is a horrible night with storm and thunder.It is very dangerous for sailing in this condition.There are two ships in on the sea.One is huge,another one is tiny.A few minutes,ahuge wave coming,it the tiny ship and it is about to sink.
Viking 1.(V1):Help!Help!
Viking 2.(V2):Oh,that ship will sink sailor,go down and help her!
Sailor:Ye.,( he is going down to help her!)
V1:Thank you a million.(VI said gratefully)
Sailor and V2:Don’t mention it.It is our responsibility.
ACT 2
Narrator:When V1 falls in a swoon,V2 finds a map about some treasure from her.He reads the map when she was in a faint.When she wakes up,he begins to ask her something.
V2:Why are you here?(very interestedly)
V1:I,…..just ….want to…want to hunt for something.( she is tongue-shy)
V1:Just something I have lost.(she thinks:maybe he can help me to get there.Can I tell him the truth?She is very indecisive)
V2:Oh,you know I have vessel,I can help you.
V1:Oh,thank you a million.You must be ORDIN.I know something,I can tell you.( she is very athrill)
V2:Really?
V1:Of course.(Then,V1 tell something to V2,he looks like know something)
ACT 3
Narrator:After that,they sail to England.Then come to a raid a rich family.They hold the swords on their hands.
Young Girl(Y):Who are you?What are you doing here?(she is very afraid.)
V1:Give us your treasure.
Y:What?
V2:Hurry up!
Y:We don’t have any treasures.
V1&V2:Don’t deceive us!
(the Viking turn over the things everywhere)
Y:Whaaaaaaaaa….What are you doing?Stop!Please stop doing that!
(The Viking still turn over the things.They become to crazy)
Y:Mum!Dad!Someone is robbing our treasure.Mum!Dad!Come on please!(the young girl is crying now)
Narrator:The young girl’s mum and dad are coming now,but one of the Viking killed them quickly.
Y:Oh,no!mummmmmmmmm…..dadddddddddddd.You bad robber wuuuuu….(the girl cried loudly)
V1:Shut up!
Y:you,you,you….(the girl fall in a swoon)
Narrator:Suddenly the girl wakes up but she hurt very terrible.
V1:Now,fetch the treasure for us,or die.
Narrator:Then the poor girl was reluctantly to do this because she cannot do anything.
A few minutes later,the girl takes the treasure to them.They eventually get the treasure.And they jump out of the skin.
V1:Oh,dear treasure,I eventually found you,now you belong to me,nobody can reave you from me.( she is very happy) HA-HA…
V2:No,you’re wrong,It belongs to me,you cannot get it without my help.( he is very angry)
V1:Without my clew you cannot find it at all.Of course it’s mine.
Narrator:They begin to fight,both of them consider it to be owned by self.
ACT4
Narrator:When they are fighting impetuously,the sun rise up from the horizon slowly.Everything is back to peace.Suddenly a piece of note falls with the rays of light from the clear sky.She picks it up and read it.
V1:It says” to conflict or be peaceable?It depends on yourselves; and if you do not hope the world to be destroyed,you must return the treasure in five minutes.” Maybe….we should not done so.( she says repentantly)
V2:What do you mean?
V1:You saved me from danger,but now I actually want to kill you to get the treasure alone.How ungrateful I am…!
V2:Maybe thewre is something wrong with us at the very beginning.Both of us are so greedy,Is there anything more precious than a devt of gratitude?It is wrong for us to fight treasure.
V1:And it is wrong for us to raid her family and kill her parents.
V2:It passed now,we must return the treasure as soon as possible.Hurry up!
Narrator:They return the treasure very quickly,far more quickly than raiding from her family.
They are carrying the treasure back to the cave without ant hesitation.Five minutes passed,everything go back to the past,the treasure,so do Vikings.They are smiling at each other happily.And the sun shine again.
如果都是男的,可以把Viking中的那个改成男的,小女孩也可以改成男孩
