《Haibal》的公演时,包箱里坐的子爵Raoul,也是歌剧院新的股东,发现剧里的女主角就是Christine,他年幼时的好朋友.演出结束以后,Raoul到后台见Christine并邀请她同进晚餐.Christine见到久别的好友虽然很兴奋,但是她拒绝了Raoul的邀请,因为她的音乐教师,音乐天使,对她十分严格.Raoul离开后,Christine对镜卸妆的时候赫然发现Phantom从镜子里面显现出来.Christine被他牵引着,穿过镜子,仿佛走进了另一个世界.他们走下一层又一层的楼梯,坐船穿过歌剧院地下水池,最后来到Phantom所住的秘室.秘室的四面布满高大的烛台,里面的布置精制而高贵,但是既陈旧又破烂.在Phantom的钢琴声里,Christine的音乐课开始了.
