把这句补充完整应该是 He hid the truth that he was involved in the matter.that 之后是对这个truth的补充说明,所以可以吧the truth替换成一个代词,故选C.
再问： 那就是truth后面跟了一个同位语从句？ 为什么我不能理解为hide后面直接跟个宾语从句呢？
再答： 我这么理解应该就是一个同位语从句。问题主要出在hide 的词性上，它是一个xxx动词（太长时间不学英语了。。。忘了怎么说），也就是它后面一定要加一个宾语，所以不能直接跟宾语从句。。
再问： 语法书上写着只有一些表示人的情感的词后面要先加it当形式宾语 I like /hate /prefer .... it +从句 hide也不属于这类动词啊
