虚拟语气在名词性从句中的用法是什么?
一般说来,只要名词性从句表达某种愿望、见解、劝告、要求、命令等意志时,为了缓和强硬的语气,都要用虚拟语气表示,这种从句可分为三大类：
一、动词demand（要求）,suggest（建议）,order（命令）,insist（强调）,propose（建议）,adivice（忠告）后的宾语从句,其谓语动词要用 should do 或省略 should 直接用 do 表示 ：如：
* I suggested that we (should) hold a meeting tonight.我建议今晚开个会.
* The chairman proposed that we (should) discuss the question.主席提议我们讨论这个问题.
* We demanded that we regain our sovereign right for Hongkong.我们要求收回对香港的主权.
二、在 it is natural 正常的 (important 重要的,strange,不同寻常的 neccessary 必要的) 中表示愿望的主语从句,谓语动词如同第一项也要用同样的虚拟语气,如：
* it quite natural that he (should) think so.（我认为）她这样想是很正常的.
* It is strange that he (should) have gone away without telling us.(我认为)他没有啃声就走了是很不正常的.
三、在下列情况的表示愿望的 that 从中,也必须用虚拟语气,不过谓语动词的表示和 if 从句一样,如：
* 表示该做某事的时间到了
It is time that we left.我们该走了.
* 表示“但愿”
I wish that I were you.但愿我是你.（我要是你就好了）
* 表示“宁愿”
I'd rather that you had come earlier.我宁愿你当时早一些到.
* 表示“希望最好”
He's better that would become a girl.他希望最好变成个姑娘.
另外,由第一类动词转换为名词或过去分词后,他们所带的主语从句、表语从句或同位语从句的虚拟与宾语从句的谓语动词一样,如：
主语从句：It is suggested that we should discuss the question.
表语从句：His suggestion is that we should discuss the question.
同位语从句：The suggestion that we should discuss the question was brought forth by the chairman..
