很多复习资料上说这个句子中that从句是定语从句；也有人说是表语从句；更有人认为是强调句；这个句子在网上多数是求翻译,我不要翻译.只要精辟的句式剖析,这里的that引导的究竟是什么从句?

如果是强调句的话,应该可以去掉It was... that,恢复成原来的句子,这句显然不行.
这句话的表语是the first time,所以不可能是表语从句.
这个就是一个普通的定语从句,修饰the first time,只不过中间另一个充当定语的介词短语,in a year and a half. 当定语从句的先行词有time,day,place,reason,way等的时候,可以用that代替when或where或why或介词+which, 口语中that 还可以省略.
