Back home I couldn't get that picture out of my mind.After about an hour I got into the pickup and went back to the spot,feeling stupid,to be honest.I mean,I'm the kind of guy that hunts deer instead of rescuing them.But the little fellow was still there,almost like he'd been waiting for me.I cut the ignition and got out.The fawn hesitated before taking a step toward me.I stuck out my hand,palm up.He took another step and laid his head right in my hand.And that weird feeling in my chest came back.I bent down and scooped the fawn up.He couldn't have weighed more than four or five pounds.

回到家,我无法忘记那一幕.大约一个小时后,我钻进皮卡（pickup）,并回到现场,诚实地说,觉得自己很愚蠢.我的意思是说,我是那种捕杀鹿而并非拯救鹿的人.但那只小鹿还在那儿,“他”几乎就是在那儿等着我.我熄了火下车.那只小鹿在朝我迈进一步之前还是有点犹豫.我伸出我的手,掌心向上.“他”又朝我走进一步,把“他”的头就倚在我的掌心.顿时,我胸中那股奇异的感觉又回来了,我俯下身,用手把小鹿抱（用手伸过小鹿的身体,“铲”起来）起来,“他”简直不可能超过四五磅重.
翻译完毕,很感动.写得很细腻,漂亮.
是不是他首先误伤了母鹿呢?也正是这一幕让他----作者一直释怀不下呢?
