怎样判断一个英语句子是判断句
英语判断句有三种句式：肯定句、否定句、疑问句.
一）肯定句：
must +
do（表状态的词:be\ have\ know\live等）
目前的状况
be doing
正在进行
have done \ have been doing
过去情况
对自己的判断有把握,则用以上句型；无把握,则用may、might取代must .
二）否定句：
can’t +
do（表状态的词:be\ have\ know\live等）

be doing

对自己的判断有把握,则用以上句型；无把握,则用may not、might not或could not 取代can’t .
1、 He can’t be the doctor.
2、 The water can’t be cool now.
3、 Li Ming can’t be over there.

5、 They can’t be getting ready for the evening party.
6、 My mother can’t be cooking now.
7、 They can’t have finished Lesson 6.
8、 She can’t have come back home.
9、 We can’t have been playing for three hours.
10、He can’t live near here.
11、She can’t have a lot of money.
12、They can’t know the answers.
三）疑问句：
can +
do（表状态的词:be\ have\ know\live等）

过去情况
可用might 或could 取代 can.
1) Can he be a doctor?
2) Can the water be cool now?
3) Can Li Ming be over there?
4) Can your pen be in your desk?

说明：
一、往往,might(could) 和can 各有侧重.
在一般问句中：
* Could they be at work now (询问“可能性”)
* Can he be at home ( 暗指“不相信”)
在特殊问句中：
1) might \ could \ can 都表示“询问”；
2) 以 how 开头的问句,表示“惊讶”、“责备”,只用can（could）,不用might .
* Where might \ could \ can he be now (询问“可能性”)
* How can \ could you be so careless (“惊讶”\“责备”)
二、can (could)在陈述句中并不表示主观判断；can’t（can never） 表示1）主观判断；2）客观可能性.
can （could）在陈述句中很容易被误解为主观判断.其实这时候的can 表示的是逻辑可能性(句子隐含某种逻辑上的因果关系).多翻译为 “有时候会”,can’t /can never翻译为“不会”.
1、 It can be very hot in my hometown in October (because of its position on the earth).
2、 A cracked bell can never sound well (as it is cracked).
3、 A good student sometimes can be careless（as nobody is perfect）.
4、 The sun can never rise from the west.(as the sun turns……)
5、 It can be dark in the day time as the sun can be covered by the moon.
6、 Driving on this road can be a nerve-racking business.
7、 You can not eat your bread and have it.
8、 The climate in Scotland can be pretty grim in winter.
9、 He is a bad tempered fellow,but he can be quite charming when he wishes.
以上的句子表达的是某种逻辑上的可能性,并非人的主观判断,不能视为判断句.
