解题思路： 直接引语变间接引语时应该注意同时考虑引导词，人称，时态，时间状语，地点状语和语序等各种问题，不能片面。
解题过程：
1.He told me he had left his book in my room.
said to 经常在间接引语中变成 told 或asked，陈述句应该用that引导，还可以省略。时态人称等要随主句的时态变化，人称遵循第一人称随主语变化，第二人称随宾语变化，第三人称不变
2. She said that she went there the day before.
人称随上题的规则，时间状语为yesterday，所以换成 the day before, 时态仍然是一般过去式.
3. He said that he was using the knife.
时态和人称按照规律变化，引导词用that.
