我在人称学习时,说是neither nor,either or ,后面的人称,都应该与最接近的人称一致.但是我发现这两个词用法不一.neither of the two ladies admitted her guilt; either of these young ladies is perfectly qualified.

admitted 用的是过去时；is 用的是一般现在时.
neither of 和either of 指的都是其中一个人怎么样,因此遇到一般时,动词肯定是单数第三人称.
