1.改成：We (去掉are) hope you can join us.
hope是行为动词,are多余；
2.改成：Our school will hold an English speech contest in Classroom 501 from 2pm.to 5pm in the afternoon on June 15.
1）去掉be
2）held改成hold
此句为主动语态,不需要be动词,也不需要过去分词held
3）a改成an,因为English首个音素是元音
4）调整句序,一般先说地点状语in Classroom 501,再说时间状语
地点状语为专有名词,所以写成Clasroom 501
5）时间地点一般从小到大,所以先说具体钟点：from 2pm to 5pm；再说固定短语in the afternoon,再说日期on June 15（月份一般不用阿拉伯数字）.
