An American woman died of A/H1N1 flu on May 5,2009.Her name is Judy Trunnell.She is the second to die from the virus after a Mexico City boy.
The 33-year-old woman lived in Cameron County.She died early Tuesday.She had had a long underlying health conditions.She had been in hospital since April 19.
The flu exacerbated the woman's condition.The flu is very benign by itself.But it was already too late when she cme to see doctor.
The woman was a schoolteacher who had recently given birth to a healthy baby.
Earlier,the Mexico City boy,who had been visiting relatives in Brownsville,near Harlingen,died last week at a Houston children's hospital.
The United Stares now has 642 cases of H1N1 flu virus.The 642 confirmed cases in the United States showed a nearly 60 precent tise from Tuesday.
