my favourite day of the year,like all children,was my birthday.my brother's birthday was two weeks before mi ne,and i used to look forward to mine from the moment his party finished.we grew up near a big park ,and every year for my birthday treat we used to go to the funfair there,which took place around the same time .
i would invite three of four friends to come along with me .before we set out for the fair,my mother used to give us a pound each to spend.We used to try out ad many things as we could.l liked the big wheel best.
Then we would go back home for tea.Iuesd to shoose all my favourite things -fizzy drinks,crisps,sausages and egg sandwiches.then we would to up my bedroom and listen to pop records with my brother.He wouldn't ever come to the fair with us .I think a lot of my friends used to be in love with him.he seemed so much older and more sophisticated.
