Recently,I went down to a local hospital to visit my friends and see their new baby.Looking through the window of the nursery,I couldn't help but think that each child was born to succeed.They all made almost the same sound,no accents,no political preferences,different races,different sexes,unique,one-of-a-kind bodies and faces,but all born to succeed.
As I left that beautiful environment full of innocent,precious children,I got into my car to go home.When I stopped to wait for the red light to turn green,I glanced over,and saw three homeless men sitting against the wall of a building.As usual.I thought to myself:Whoa,that’s sad.I wondered what happened to them.Just before the light changed,I turned my head to the other side of the road and saw two well-dressed,successful-looking women and a successful-looking men walking arm-in-arm out of a law firm
All of a sudden,it hit me like a ton of bricks.The three experiences magically meshed together to fully explain this principle:"We were born to succeed.”The pure babies in the hospital nursery,the three down-and-out men,and the three elegant professionals all had one thing in common.Simply,they are human beings.Never one has a mother brought into the world anything other brought into the world a high school dropout or a college graduate,a drug user,a doctor,a teacher,a lawyer,or a world-class athlete.Who we are and what we become after we leave the hospital nursery is a direct result of who we think we can become.
