seated不表示过去时啦,这里应该只是及物动词的被动意义.
因为seat oneself = be seated = sit
而且with后面不是从句,整个是一句完整的句子.可以拆成两句：

而这里with引导-ed分词作状语,是一句句子不是从句!当然就要把be动词拿掉啦~
