1Dear Editor,I used to be a doctor in the children's department of a local hospital .Sometimes I treated children who have been poisoned by medicine for older family members .The children can easily open the bottle that we now used in China.Some days ago I talked about medicine with an American.He showed me a plastic pill bottle that is"Childproof".The design was so simple that I'm sure our Chinese factories could produce these bottles easily.The top of the bottle locks,but can be opened by pressing down on it while turning .This is hard for most young children to do but adults can open them without any difficulty .I'm certain that the expense of making such tops would be very low.As a doctor,I'd love to see done.And most parents would be grateful.2.Most American families are smaller than in other countries.Most American families have one or two uncles and one or two children each other.Children in the US wil leave their parents' home when they grow up.They usually live far from their parents because they want to find good jobs.They often write to their parents or telephone them.And they often go to visit their parents on holidays.Parents usually let their children choose their own jobs.Americans think it important for a young people to decide on their lives by themselves.Children are asked to do some work near their house.And in many families,children are paid for doing some work so that they can learn how to make money for their own use
