Dear host family
I am writing today in order to introduce my self.My name is Emily Bennett and I will be one of the teachers accompany the Nativity delegation to China this March,I am really looking forward to meeting you and visiting China.
This will be my first time in China,and I am looking forward to trying and learning new things.I do not speak any Mandarin,but I am still looking forward to taking in the country.
Currently,I teach 5th grade (10-11 years olds) at Nativity.This is my sixth year of teaching at Nativity and I really enjoy it.I have previously accompanied a Nativity delegation to Germany in the spring of 2008.I have also visited lreland and England.
When I am not teaching,I enjoy doing many things,such as hiking,exploring,traveling,and shopping.I also like having dinner with friends,meeting new people,or spending quiet time reading.I enjoy sports also.I like to watch sporting events,and sometimes I participate (although I’m not the best athlete!)
I am anxiously awaiting meeting you and the trip to China.Only a few more weeks to go!Please feel free to email me any questions or anything to share before the trip.I look forward to meeting you and spending an exciting two weeks in China.
