consumers' discussions of wine and choice of wine,there was illustration in
the data of social interactions,the mentioning of specific wines such as
“Waterkloof wines” (Ref.1181) or with more precision “Barolo Pajana Clerico
2007” (Ref.527).Wine retailers were mentioned by consumers as well as
themselves “Grapes Wine Market (USA)” (Ref.56) or “I just checked in at
Northside Social Coffee and Wine on #Yelp and earned the Bacchus badge!” (Ref.
1448).
Red wine
Red wine was often
posted in conjunction with the weather and occurred more frequently as a tweet
than white wine.The higher frequency of red wine tweets might be that the data
collection period covered the winter months in the Northern hemisphere and thus
it was more likely that red wine would be a more popular tweet topic as the
weather was colder and more consumers would be consuming red wine than white.

seasonality impacted upon the wine tweet content.The connection between food
and wine,cooking and the use of red wine both for drinking and as an
