In my point of view,this research should be funded by governments.Firstly,governments are not profit-oriented.If the research is funded by governments,the fruits of it can be taken advantage of by the public.That is to say,the fruits of the research can serve people better.
Secondly,the governments have better ability of providing money to support the research than private companies whose ability of providing money always changes,depending on the economic environment.
